How much rebate will I get back from Medicare?

You'll receive $96.65 back from Medicare after each session, which makes your out-of-pocket cost $98.35.

How will I get my Medicare rebate?

We will process your Medicare claim on your behalf after each session. Medicare will then pay your rebate directly into your bank account.

Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate?

In order to claim a rebate from Medicare you must:

  • Have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (also known as a Mental Health Care Plan, MHCP)
  • Have a referral from your GP
  • Have a valid Medicare card

Do I need to pay for the session upfront?

Yes, then after each session we will process your Medicare claim and you'll be paid the rebate directly back into your bank account.

Do I need my GP referral and MHTP before booking?

No, you can book a session first, but you must see your GP and get the MHTP before your session.

Can I use my existing referral?

If you already have a referral for a different psychologist, you do not need a new one and can use your existing one.
