Online chat messaging therapy or text therapy replaces the face-to-face meeting conducted when accessing in-person treatment. Online text therapy has been researched over time and proven to be just as effective as in-person treatment. Not only is text therapy useful, but it also has unique benefits that face-to-face counselling doesn’t have. These advantages are that text therapy is more convenient, affordable, accessible and versatile when compared to in-person therapy.
We will email you a join link which you can use to connect with your therapist using our chat messaging platform.
Once you have booked a chat therapy session with your online counsellor or online therapist and you have joined the chat room, you will be greeted by your online therapist. During the text therapy session, you will have the opportunity to let your online therapist know about the issues you are facing through text. Your online counsellor will then work through how they can help you and the methods that they will use.
A chat therapy session is 50 minutes long.
