Australia is a multicultural country with hundreds of different languages being spoken.
It may be impossible to communicate your feelings and life experiences clearly to a therapist who does not speak your own language. Trying to do so can result in emotional anguish and can counter the benefits of therapy.
When talking to a therapist or counsellor it's extremely important to be able to express yourself clearly and comfortably, so if English is not your native tongue it is advised to find a therapist who speaks your language.
On Talked there are therapists who speak over 40 different languages! We've made it easy for you to browse non-english speaking therapist, so you can find the right one for you.
